So “Swastika” means a ‘good existence’ that is not to be destroyed and that remains in a good condition. He went on to say that its deeper meaning is permanent victory.
In the context of the cultural origins of the swastika, this means the victory of dharma – the fundamental spiritual nature of humanity.

For the sake of civility, I just want to let you know that for reasons unrelated to this discussion I’ve decided to delete my blog here. Don’t know if this will show up here after I’m gone, but if it does I thought I’d save you the trouble of making any further posts I won’t see.

I’m sure you must see the irony of advocating, and calling for “Satanic unity,” when you yourself undermine that very concept by excluding the likes of the ONA and JoS. On what basis do you reject those outfits and their sympathizers?

How about the Church of Satan? How receptive have -they- been to your desire to unify the “Satanic community” (which, if I recall correctly, is comprised solely of the CoS in their view, and certainly doesn’t include *you*, who they consider mere “devil worshippers”)? How do you reconcile the CoS’s crypto-fascism and endorsement of “social Darwinism” with what I believe they would label the TOTS as — “fluffy bunny, white light, fake Satanism?”

If you were to actually field a devotee of your version of “Satanism” in let’s say, a race for city council in your location, and they were open and honest about their Satanic beliefs, what do you honestly think the local news organizations would focus on?

Yours is the only “Satanic” group I’m aware of concerned with the “greater good” or charitable causes. How does this jibe with 2000+ years of Satan being overwhelmingly seen as the adversary of both mankind and the judeo-christian god? How is your literal, theistic interpretation of Satan any more valid than that of the symbolic mascot of the CoS, or the Crowley-esque deity of the ToS?

The Temple of Theistic Satanism, demonstrates a form of unity, or cooperation by being open to all forms of Satanism, except those such as Joy of Satan, O9A, and etc. A common thread I have seen, not only within the Temple, but also within some open discussion groups – and that is tolerance of others beliefs, in the pursuit of Human Advancement. Many people within the Satanic community have been looking at banding together against groups such as fundamentalist Christians, and etc – willing to overlook minor or major differences. (Like LaVeyan vs Theistic)

You are correct when you mention the fact that in the last 20+ years, it has been common place for the ‘sects’ to bicker and fight one another, however it is changing now, and with the right attitude across the board, we can get it accomplished – without anyone losing their freedoms/individuality either.

Your ideas, such as working on campaigns, with the ACLU and etc are good ideas, as well as working in some of these areas ourselves — for example, an open Satanist running for public office – volunteering with local charities etc.. Simple things can change everything , making it easier to accomplish something for the greater good.

But what could possibly be the “magic bullet” that might bring about “Satanic unity”? What is this “common goal” — specifically, what have you yourself found after looking for such theoretical common ground?

I’m sure you’re aware that many, if not most LaVeyan/non-theistic Satanists despise theistic Satanists. Hell — most of them despise just about everyone. From what I’ve gathered over the past 20 years, a large percentage of Black Metal kids have no desire to ally themselves with LaVeyan Satanists. What is going to be the unifying goal to bring about an effective and enduring alliance between all these social outcasts and often misanthropic subcultures?

You will NEVER convince the majority of fundamentalist, or even run-of-the-mill christians and muslims that you *aren’t* doing something wrong — no more than you can convince them *they’re* the ones who are wrong and self-deceptive. I believe basic theory of sociopolitical/military strategy often dictates, “The better part of valor is discretion, in the which better part I have saved my life.”

As you know, in the U.S. we have some measure of protection against housing, employment, and judicial discrimination based on religious beliefs. I contend that probably the most effective way to safeguard those tenuous “rights” is by attempting to use the judicial and political system to promote individual and institutional parties who claim to be working for that cause. Have you ever donated to the ACLU, or worked on the campaign staff for a “liberal” candidate running for an office relevant to the Constitutional protections afforded by the First Amendment?

In my opinion, the LAST thing the “Satanic community” needs is to bring all variations of it together to publicly clamor for its “rights”; how much sympathy and support do you expect to garner for a coalition that includes ONA wanna-be’s blathering on about human “culling,” and black metalers offering self-mutilation and over-the-top stage rantings about depression and misanthropy?
